This agency reports suspected child abuse to a 24 hour toll free Childline: 1-800-932-0313 or 1-800-932-0316 for hearing impaired.

BEHAVIOR
We create a safe learning environment that is “Child Friendly.” The rules of the center are clearly explained to the children so that they know what is expected of them. We encourage the kids to respect each other and the center. We use positive discipline techniques such as, redirection- if a child is behaving inappropriately while playing in a particular area or with others, a staff member will direct the child to a different activity. Positive Reinforcement- We all like a work of praise when we’ve done a good job! Children are praised for doing the “right thing” and the appropriate behavior is reinforced. Children learn that they don’t have to misbehave in order to get attention. Modeling appropriate behavior– staff and children will communicate to solve problems.

CUSTODY
A child is never released to someone who is not in the child’s information file. If you have a court order regarding custody, the center must have a copy to keep on file and must be updated as needed to keep the information current.
